Client Introduction
Chore Choice has been developed and launched by husband and wife, Bridget and David Hinton. Both have a wealth of experience in customer service having both worked in retail for the majority of their lives. Continually being let down by service providers, Bridget; felt that there was a need for a unique service which would allow you to find and organise a service 24/7 from the comfort of your home or work PC. The facility had to offer a wide range of affordable services and a system which meant that customers no longer had to leave answer phone messages or wait for service providers to quote and cherry pick their jobs.
Project Overview
Chore Choice came to us with a very interesting concept. Not only was it new and different but I could really see it taking off. Add to that a very realistic marketing campaign it was a project we wanted to do and thankfully we we’re able to. We used our Content Management from the Brochure and Small Shop web site offer for the web site’s front end and decided upon a totally bespoke back-end.

Bespoke shopping basket style purchasing system with multiple payment options
Chore Choice has a few different ways for you to purchase their services. You can either go down the conventional method via PayPal or WorldPay or you can choose to use the Benefit Credit Account. This acts as a one click payment system which then means when you book a service, you pay by cash or other means upon completion of the service. Total peace of mind for those who dislike paying online.
Online multiple calendar booking system
Just to have a simple calendar was not good enough for Chore Choice, and rightly so, they wanted to gain an edge on the competition. To give them this edge we designed an extremely flexible online multiple calendar system. To simplify, there is a different calendar for each service group they offer, these are then all managed and dates can be turned from booked to free. When someone clicks on a date they are then asked which service they want to book in which they have previously paid for, then one more simple click to request and the system notifies an admin to check and confirm the booking. It also support recurring bookings, so you can book 6 weeks worth of one service in one click.

I really love my site and the process has not taken long at all. I was expecting 2 – 3 months of development based on previous experiences but Breakfrom delivered quickly.
