The simple answer .
There is a very simple answer to this question and generally it can’t even be argued. To answer this simply, would be to say ‘No, it can’t’. But to understand why would obviously be more useful.
First of all I’m talking generally about web sites with an intention to help or aid in the process of income generation or incretion. You could argue if your site is just a brochure site and it’s there just so you have a presence then it can run itself. But these sites are few and far between and generally speaking mean the company is already making a lot of money and people know the company before they visit the web site. But that’s a classic chicken and egg I’m afraid.
Don’t allow other companies to lie to you, there is no easy way.
In reality we need our web sites to help us and to do that we need to help them. Search engines like Google like sites that are updated with new content and that have content worth reading. There are many people who say they can get around that, ‘We’ll trick Google!’ they say. But at the end of the day you’ll get caught.
You may have heard of the term, content is king, and possibly the term relating to that, keywords are queen. Don’t be fooled into thinking a web site is a miracle cure. They can be hard work. They need a lot of attention, you should always be thinking about updating and making your web site more useful to its users.
We certainly won’t make you pay for this privilege like some companies would, but we do make sure our clients understand that a web site is not a miracle cure for bad sales.
